2019 Spring/Summer
Season
Here are the details for the 2019 Spring/Summer season Registration opens February 4, 2019 for new and returning teams
· Season begins April, 2019 · 14 Game regular season + 1 playoff game minimum · All teams make playoffs - division finals are a best of 3 series (prizes for division winners) · Game format: 3 x 15 minute stop time periods · Overtime format: 3 on 3 overtime - 5 minutes running time, followed by sudden death shootout if necessary · Lower League fee: $3,990 ($3,800 + $190 gst) · Team bond:
$100 - to cover penalty fines (refundable at the end of season)
Note with refundable
bond, total payable is $4,090 to register ($100 credit remains on team account)
2018 Champions receive $200.00 discount 2018 returning teams receive $100.00 discount (excl. 2018 champions) Additional $100.00 discount for referring a newly registered team
Payment
details: · Reserve a spot with a $500 deposit at time of registration, remaining amount due by March 22, 2019. · Or pay full amount at time of registration ·
Deposit/registration fee is fully refundable prior to closing date
of March 22, 2018 · No games scheduled on
holidays or long weekends · All games scheduled
in Sherwood Park - Millennium Place, Glen Allan Recreation Complex or Sherwood
Park Arena · Game times start as
early as 6:30pm and as late as 10:00pm. · All games feature two
scheduled referees and one timekeeper.

In addition to receiving a $200 gift card, courtesy of Average Joes, each winning team will receive a $200 discount on registration fees for the 2019 season.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude for continuously sending us league feedback. In response to your feedback, we've already been taking the necessary steps for improvements next year. First, we are seeking to hire a Referee-in-Chief to manage all SHL referee functions. We encourage you to share this opportunity!
Secondly, we are also offering a new incentive for returning teams. All returning teams will receive $100 discount on registration fees. Returning teams can also receive an additional $100 discount for referring a new team for the 2019 season!

2018 SHL Season:
As the 2018 Strathcona Summer Hockey season gets underway, I
encourage all players to review the revamped League Rules as we have undertaken
some significant changes heading in to this year. As always, please ensure
roster edits are completed before each game and registration forms must be completed by all players. I would like to thank everyone for their feedback and patience as these changes have occurred and
